Participating artists have created an art gallery on wheels, with imaginative designs that include imagery of riders on the bus, historic views of Raleigh, whimsical dinosaurs, robots and monsters, and a typographic portrayal of Sir Walter Raleigh.
On the way out of the fairgrounds we saw these little guys playing outside the pond. Stopped long enough to grab a few shots. I don’t think the mother geese (father geese?) were too thrilled about it but it made for some reasonably good pictures.
The Got to be NC Festival celebrates all things North Carolina and what is more North Carolina than antique tractors. Well – I can think of a few things but the tractors were pretty awesome. With rides, concessions and a overwhelming sampling of North Carolina made products this event is becoming a mini-fair in the spring. Check it out today and tomorrow if you can and don’t miss your chance to win the antique Ford tractor to the right. I’m [...]
Losing daylight fast we went over to Carter-Finley for a few quick shots around the stadium and the massive statue outside. We’ll be back this fall for some game action but till this is as close as you can get to the Pack.
The entrance to the Neuse River Trail at Anderson Point Park officially opened last month and just a short drive from the house it is a great place to go for a bike ride. Friday night we rode to the trail about 9 miles round-trip.
What did you do Saturday morning? Probably didn’t hike over six miles in your local state park following orange squares on trees like ET followed Reese’s Pieces with much less peanut butter. Yes – hiking will make you hungry.

We’ve made it to Christmas Eve’s Eve and we have what is nothing less than an awesome gift and something I plan to build if we get snow this winter – SNOW2-D2. Not since last year’s Yoda Claus have we gotten anything this cool. Really makes me excited about tomorrow’s grand finale. If you’ve been following all month we have had some pretty good hints at who is coming tomorrow and not like Lego created any anticipation by not plastering [...]

Today’s gift is General Grievous’ Starfighter or the Soulless One which is a great name for a Starfighter or a heavy metal band. General Grievous flew a heavily-modified and battle-worn Belbullab-22, Soulless One, during the Clone Wars. Today’s secret code is 9678.
Today’s gift is the Separatist Shuttle or the Sheathipede-class Transport Shuttle because do the Separatists really call themselves separatists? Probably not. But we can – after the fact. The Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, also known as the Neimoidian shuttle, was a craft manufactured by Haor Chall Engineering and used by high-ranking officials of the Trade Federation to visit potential clients and marketplaces. Today’s secret code is 9525.
